We might believe in God, but do we really know who He is? These are some things God says about Himself:
- King
- Immortal
- Invisible
- Creator
- Father
- Merciful
- Gracious
- Patient
- Loving
- Refuge
- Near to us
- Great power
- Jealous
- Judge

God reveals Himself to us throughout the Bible. The Old Testament shows how He cares for the nation of Israel; looking after them but also punishing them when they disobey Him. The New Testament tells us how to become part of God’s special people; that God sacrificed His own son, Jesus, to save us from our sins and that Jesus is a perfect example of how we should live our own lives.
